As an LAC air radar mech I taught the rest of the squadron personnel the ceremonial funeral drill after the crash of XD 864 near wittering in 1960. I had learned the drill in basic training at RAF Bridgenorth in 1959.

I was also on rout lining duty for Churchill’s Funeral in 1965, very cold day.

In 1968/1969 spent best year of my life ‘ON THE GOOSE’ working on Victors, Vulcans, Britannia’s, Hercules & anything that came along, also got married & the first of our 3 children was born, still married to same lass after 46 years!
