During an Air Training Corp (ATC) camp at RAF Waddington in 1965 I was selected along with another cadet to carry out some training for a possible flight in a Vulcan. We were kitted out with a parachute and a bone dome to practice required safety activities. We were both very excite and tried to imagine what it would be like to fly in such a magnificent aircraft, however, that is as far as it went, for no Vulcan took to the skies during that week long camp.
