I was part of a film crew filming the Farnborough Air show in 1952 for the Sperry Gyroscope Company sitting right on the edge of the runway (no ‘elf ‘n safety in those days ).

There had been a thunderstorm which moved away leaving the thunderclouds beyond a bright blue sky when the Vulcan appeared flanked by two small deltas (Possibly the DH110) – One painted bright red and the other bright blue with the Vulcan in her white strip between them.

With the sun on them and the black clouds behind it is a picture I will never forget.
