I was lucky enough to live on a number of RAF a stations following my Dad in his RAF career. As a young boy, I along with a number of friends would go to the fields at the end of the runway at RAF Gaydon to watch the Vulcans take off and land. Then there were the circuits and bumps, always seemed to be at night for some reason that seemed to go on for hours.

Didn’t fully understand the Cold War at the time just saw a the elegance and grace of a beautiful aircraft. It will be a sad day when she makes her final flight.
