The memory I have is that of a Victor.
This must have been in the late sixty’s afraid I can not recall the exact date.
The Victor was in the static park on the eastern end of the airfield it ran its engines up and moved from its position to the taxiway prior to its display and held short of the runway. it was waiting for a displays to finish After what seemed hours the Victor powered the engines with a mighty roar as if to move. The result of the jet blast a huge pieces of tarmac flew up.
The next display was the usaf road sweepers team I’ve never seen so many trucks / equipment to clear the debris created by jet blast.
