Summer 1966 I would be lying on my parents lawn in the West Midlands looking up at the blue sky and 3 silver shiny triangular would pass overhead at very high altitude. My school friend Matthew Adams (who’s dad had been in the Parachute Regiment and was an expert in all things aviation as an 8 year old ) explained that they were Vulcans and carried ‘atom bombs’.

Been fascinated with them ever since and have felt privileged to be able in a small way to contribute to the return to flight of XH558 and to the see this aircraft at a little less than 50,000 feet!
