As an SEFITT we were stationed on crash line at Scampton, early evening ready for a returning plane which was definitely going to stream break chute because of the load and destination returning from just over the hill came the two wing lights. closer, closer, it then hit runway streams and veered off to the right on to the grass. The tower called us on to collect the chute, followed by fire and police. That was the end of flying for the day.
