This Tacho Gear unit was removed from an Air Starter that was attached to a Bristol Olympus 202 Turbo Jet engine.
The unit is provided with a signed Certificate indicating that it was provided by the Central Stores of Vulcan to the Sky Trust. Similar units are much sort after.
The Tacho Drive was used to determine the speed of the Air Starter thus enabling correct fuel input from the Chassis Mounted Fuel System leading to ignition.
