AVRO Vulcan XH558 – ECU 620119 – Section of Rear Bellows (Exhaust Cone) Strap
Up to 1965 Olympus engines carried a ‘Rolls-Royce Bristol’ engine plate, after then ‘Bristol’ was dropped from the description. This piece was removed from an original Rolls-Royce Bristol Olympus 202 Turbojet, Engine Change Unit (ECU) 620119.  Â
The ECU was fitted to XH558 during her time with the Vulcan Display Flight in RAF service. The clamp was replaced during the XH558 restoration project 2005-2007.
The purpose of the strap was to provide secure connection between the Engine Bellows unit and the Jet Pipe.
