Fridge Magnet – Vulcan XH558 Aircraft Identification Plate
As with most aircraft manufacturers from pre-World War II, A.V.Roe and Company (AVRO) used an aircraft identification plate specific to them on all aircraft that they manufactured. The AVRO Vulcan was no exception and wears a style of plate which was the same as on the Lancaster, Shackleton and, in more modern times, the Nimrod.
This reproduction Vulcan XH558 Aircraft Identification Plate Keyring displays the unique details:
The original aircraft ID plate is still fitted to XH558 today, mounted on the rear wall of the nose-wheel bay.
