What is PMMA?
Poly (methyl methacrylate) is the scientific name for the synthetic polymer commonly known as acrylic, acrylic glass, and plexiglass. Acrylic is lighter & stronger than glass, highly transparent, able to be processed to a very high gloss finish, and easy to clean and maintain. PMMA also has excellent scratch resistance. These properties, combined with PMMA’s dimensional stability, enables its use in many different applications where lasting beautiful appearances are important.

Historically, PMMA was an important improvement in the design of aircraft windows, making possible such designs as the bombardier’s transparent nose compartment in the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress.
Is my watch waterproof?
The Vulcan Silver Pocket Watches are splash proof. Activities that might include full immersion in water such as showering or swimming are not recommended and will cause failure of the watch. Water ingress is not covered by the warranty.
Can IÂ change the battery?
Vulcan Silver Pocket Watches have been designed to be user friendly, the selection of the movement enables the wearer to change the battery with relative ease. The battery is located behind the back plate. Your local watch repairer will be able to undertake this task for you.
Return and Warranty Period
If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase we offer a 14 day return policy. Contact us for return information by emailing [email protected]. We will advise return details and arrange an exchange or refund when the watch has been received and inspected.
Your timepiece has a 12 month workmanship warranty from the date of purchase. Please keep your delivery receipt which will act as your warranty. The warranty does not include general wear and tear, water ingress and battery failure.
